Allan Chapnik graduated from York University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of British Columbia in 1992, and was called to the Bar in the Province of Ontario in 1994.

Since his call to the Bar, Allan has been representing the injured and disabled . Brain injuries, Catastrophic impairments and fatalities are areas of special interest and experience, as are claims regarding Long Term Disability insurance.

Allan has appeared at trials, arbitrations and appeals in the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, the Court of Appeal, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, the Canada Pension Plan Review Tribunal, the Capacity and Consent Review Board, and in Federal Court.

In addition to extensive courtroom experience, Allan has represented hundreds of clients at mediation. Mediation offers clients early resolution of their claims without the risk and delay of trial, and is consequently a cornerstone of Allan's practice.
