Robert was educated at the University of Toronto, receiving an Honours BA in Political Science and Economics in 1967. He graduated with his LLB in 1970 and was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1972. Since then Robert has specialized in a wide variety of insurance related litigation. In recent years, his practice has focussed on plaintiff personal injury litigation, mediations, arbitrations and insurance coverage disputes. Robert has handled many jury and non-jury trials over the years and he has also argued appeals before the Divisional Court and Court of Appeal. Robert also serves as duty counsel at disciplinary hearings at the Law Society.

When not practising law, Robert enjoys the outdoors and is an avid
